I think there is a need to figure out all the different codes used on our cars for reference purposes. Sometimes a straight 3L swap or maybe a swapped computer would require knowing what the codes are and the compatibility. We can sticky this list too. We can then start posting timing charts for various cam types as a list so that people can come on for a ready reference. So that means we want Contour/Cougar/Mystique/Sable/Taurus/Escape right off the bat.

I'll start with what I know and you guys fill in the rest.

This list is obviously in the construction stage and contains inaccuracies so don't take it for gospel.

As people see this thread an know what pcm code they have then they can edit it until we get a good idea about it.

I'm positive I have tuned an SFG0 that was a 98 model. I also know that my 1999 model #222 was extremely early in the year as I took delivery on Oct 31, 1998 and my pcm code was SFG2. I can't see them changing from SFG0 to SFG1 and then SFG2 in just two hundred cars.
I'm suspecting taht SFG0 was a 1998 code from mid model year or at least when the E1 version came out. The 1998 model year ran from May of 1997 through Aug or Sep 1998. It probably has all kind of baztardized combinations in the '98 E0/E1 run.

Anyway, I haven't seen this information anywhere else so we may as well try to tally it up.
I also want to incorporate Taurus/Sable and Escape vehicles so if ANYONE owns one can you at least input the Model, year, engine, and pcm code.

i think that a xgt1 is a 2k svt pcm code but I am not possitive ...

also it is my understanding the SFG0, 1, and 2 are for the 98.5 to 99 SVT ... I will get my 99 SE code when i get back home this weekend ...

on the sticker in the drivers door jam that said calibration I read this ...

this was at the end of the part number ....

both cars have abs and tc ...

There's my $0.02. I added in the tranny info, if that's OK. I think it could potentially be usefull info if somebody was looking for a replacement PCM.

That's not the pcm calibration I don't think. Remove the bracket on the bottom of the ecu and it will be on a sticker on the ecu under that bracket.

And my 98.5 is (was) SFG0. I may have my zetec's code at the house, if so I'll post it when I get home.
