Just installed the Taurus fuel pump in my 98 2.0. I'm working on an in line fuel gauge and adjustable fpr also in line. I have a return fuel system. I found a capped port under the throttle body and tied that into the stock fpr. Any advice for better setups let me know. Obviously injectors are a given fuel rails manifolds etc etc. I'm goin FI this build and would just like some feedback especially on tuning of the PCM and of course any suggestions are welcome

Thank

why would you install a Taurus fuel pump? If you are going through the hassle of installing the pump and plan on an FI build then you might as well install an uprated pump, like a 255LPH pump from say Walbro, Aeromotive, or DW. as far as the rest of the setup goes, there are no aftermarket fuel rails (and there isnt a need for them anyways until huge HP). im not sure how you tied the pressure testing port into the stock FPR as that doesnt make any sense. pick up an AFPR for a 4.6 Mustang, there are 2 different styles one of which is a direct bolt on for the Zetec (there is a thread around here somewhere that states which one).

for tuning there are several options but the most common is using an SCT flash device (such as the XCAL2 or 3) and having a shop dyno tune it.

Here are a couple of links that might further your quest in finding answers to PCM tuning as well as info in general on extracting more HP from the Zetec. The Jenvey fuel rail as well as a host of other fuel related and engine management items are to be found across the pond (UK). http://www.burtonpower.com/ and

My son runs the MegaSquirt 2 on his ride and loves it - tuneability to the ninth degree!!! http://www.diyautotune.com/tech_articles/how_to_megasquirt_your_ford_zetec.htm
