Bought the car last Fall with non-op a/c. took it to a shop last week and they said the only thing was that there was a loose fitting. Now the a/c is working great - so far so good! However, there is now an extra fan that runs as soon as I start the car, even when it's cold and the whole heat a/c system is turned off. Can someone point me to the culprit, assuming this is not normal? Second, now that the a/c is working again, there is a quite noticeable whine or whistle that changes pitch with the revs of the engine. It starts being noticeable at around 3000 rpm. Is this normal or not? If not, what could be causing it? We can hear it much more clearly inside the car than standing in front with the hood open.
