Time to move my SVT on to another owner...
1998 Ford Contour SVT, Black / midnight blue interior original adult owner, 137000 miles. DOM 1/98 $4000, cash, no trades
Good:
New Pirelli Cinturato P7 tires, less than 1000miles. 4 used Blizzard Blizaks on steel rims, with hubcaps for winter use.
Koni adjustable yellow struts front & rear with new springs
Aussie 24mm hollow rear sway bar, currently with end links disconnected – got tired of rear end clunk
Gutted pre-cats, MIL eliminators installed
Aftermarket straight Y pipe, free flow catalytic converter
DMD (Dual Mode Damper) Crank Pulley
B&M Short-Throw Shifter with European shift knob
Lotek Triple Guage A-pillar pod W/ Autometer Phantom gauges. (Voltmeter, oil pressure, water temperature)
Mobil1 synthetic since break in. Mobil1 ATF & ford lubrication modifier in transmission
Oil changes every 3000 miles, transmission 50k.
K&N reuseable air filter
Ford blue I performance spark plug wires, plugs replaced under 1000 miles ago. Extra set of new Autolite APP104 double platinum plugs
New ball joints, lower control arms with bushings
PIAA 55w white driving lights replacing stock fog lights
Ziebarted when new
Sunroof motor& gear replaced
Full set of Ford & Haynes shop manuals included
New brake pads & rotors in last 2000 miles
Original floor carpets in excellent shape – covered with floor mats since new
Interior in excellent condition
Original window sticker included
Owners manuals & Sales brochures
3” printed material, bills, invoices, modification tips
Extra new in box rear spindle & bearing, rear roll restricter, Purolator oil filter
Bad
Passenger rear rocker section replaced. POR 15 inside of complete rocker & patch
Mild dents, dings, scratches typical of 17 year old daily driver
Cracking paint on hood & roof. Fade in repainted truck lid clear coat
Sunroof motor cover is very brittle, and broke during reinstall. Glued, but nor perfect
Noticeable “clunk” in drivers side front when engaging clutch from stop and when braking. Ford dealer thought transmission mount – replaced with good used (can’t source new). Noise still exists.
