Sadly the car is still sitting taped up in the garage waiting for wax.

Few marks from the Mirko

Hasn't been waxed since May, look at that beading

I thought about stopping with the clay, this is after doing the entire hood

Flip side of the clay

I think I need a better method of removing old wax, this is after the 2 Dawn, 2 Meg washes and claying

All taped and ready for #205 (polish)

Shortly after I started

After the #21 was applied (sealant)

I should note, most of the marks in the first picture came out, I'll try to get an updated pic.

Also detailed Juan's (naujcdl) Jetta today and did some wetsanding on the van.

I always forget the before photos, but let me tell you the Jetta which Juan bought around May I don't think has ever be truly detailed. It felt like you were petting a porcupine!:(

Now to some after and during photos

Did a little steam cleaning under the hood

I didn't get any interior pics as my buddy (the owner) worked on it.

Then did some wetsanding on our Windstar also, not sure if it was just sun fade or clear coat failure, but it had annoyed me long enough.. No it's not perfect, but the goal with the van is never total correction, but just make it look better.

lol, looks like you've got a condemnation notice on the front door.
The cars look great! I need to wax my car this week but won't be going to those lengths.

looks really nice!, what products are you using?

if it would ever quit raining here i would love to do mine.

Thanks!

Meguiars Gold Class wash
Meguiars White clay
Meguiars Mirror Glaze#105 Ultra Cut compound (Polish) (skipped this time as it was not needed)
Meguiars Mirror Glaze #205 Ultra Finishing Polish
Meguiars Mirror Glaze #21 Synthetic Sealant
Griot's Garage Best of Show liquid wax (first time using, normally it's Meg's Gold Class Carnuba paste wax)

The sealant with wax is redundant, but I figure the little extra protection is never a bad idea.

Wizards is some really good products...and yeah their mist n shine I can only get at my local auto body shop or NAPA too. But as you may know Malcolm....I prefer to offroad my CSVT and never keep it clean!! haha
