Just as the description states. I read that the last produced Contour's had oil drainback holes added to the cylinder heads. Were these part of the castings or were they just machined/drilled? I'm looking at doing a rebuild and thinking that I might mod my own drainbacks.

NO contours had this correction. It was the cougar model as stated above that had the corrected oil drains.
I've never seen the head for myself. So i can not comment whether it was casted or drilled.
My money goes on it being casted. Too much money to run the heads back through again.
Now i think about it, i think i'll have bagged take some photo's on the next cougar he works on when he does a 3L swap...actually i think he has an engine siting around right now out of a cougar.
