well ive been bored as hell this week so i started on my red svt not sure if what motor is going in it yet but the old 1 is out... it took maybe 5 hours spread out over a couple of days."no where near gregs time" but i learned a lot from mr. swap king "greg" thanks man!!! the motor came out smoothly.. so that means putting it back in is going to be a pain. lol. heres a pic.

putting it in should be easier, you have gravity on your side...
thats what they call it 'dropping' the motor in!
:D

Are you doing that all by yourself?

I could never ... would always miss a wire or hose or pipe or something stupid..

yup 100% myself.its not really that hard its just takes time.. its more of less im bored outta of my mind so i go out and work on it...i will need some help on filling the tranny and bleeding the clutch though that should be it. im kinda scared to turn the key lol..

just make sure to give a few cold cranks to oil everything up:cool:
filling the tranny is one person job. get good fluid, some royal purple synchromax, don't put something like advanced auto atx fluid in..i know your tight on money and all,but....you know what i'm saying:laugh:
i ended up bleeding my clutch on my own when i did the motor swap solo. its going to take like a 1000 pumps to start to get pressure, well,it did in my case:shrug: than you just use a long prop rod to hold the pedal down while you open/close the bleeder. sure two people helps, but isn't needed. if i lived closer i'd be out there helping you...unless you want to pay for gas this time:laugh:

i usually just get the GF out to help. if you get stuck give me a call. and i will swing by after work some night

i drove it around a little up and down the driveway and it seems to run very good.. the weird misfire seemed to have fixed itself so im thinking it was a clogged injector. but shes running very good.

Looking good!

Well, minus that dash warp ... gotta get that fixed :p
but glad to see the car's out and running!

well i do have an offer on it so it might be going.... i have to find this other guy that lives in wilbrahamish area with another red svt to see if hell sell it. first

well i just told the guy he could have it for what he offered in hope another 1 i found comes within my price range. i just really dont know what to do:shrug:
