I need some quick advice, i'm bringing the svt into the shop tommorow to have the fuel pump replaced. I just wanna make sure I'm doing the right thing. Here's the story:

Starting a few months ago i began to have issues of stallling and bogging under accel when i had less than half a tank. After replacing the fuel filter to no avail i diagnosed the problem as the fuel pump with help from CEG. I'd been putting off replacing it because the car had always ran fine as long as i kept the tank topped off. Now i come home today and try to start the car for the first time in 2 weeks (on vacation) and the car cranks but wont keep running unless i keep the rpms up manually. If i let off the gas the car stalls every time. Its def not a battery issue as all the electrics seem to be working.

I am doing the right thing by replacing the pump or could it be something else?

ps sorry for the super long message

Yes, the pump could have failed by now. When they are replacing the pump, have them toss away the internal fuel sock/screen. It is not needed and is the cause of quite a few pump failures.
