I have been told to always do a 4 wheel alignment, period... Although I have never gotten an alignment, I think they run between $50 and $75? I am not sure...
I agree that a 4-wheel alignment is always the way to go. They tend to run closer to $85 these days, but it depends on the shop. With the Contour, only the toe is adjustable -- caster and camber are not. If you end up needing to adjust either of those, BAT makes a kit you can install. However, if all is well after setting the toe, so much the better.
