Whats the best way to install the Mirkoracing Front Splitter? I'm about to order one, and was just thinking ahead of time...

I used Dzus fasteners on mine. Parkedcar and Brapple use them also. The size was .650, IIRC.
Easy on/easy off.
FYI: The metal bracket that comes with the Mirko will not fit without some modification.
I didn't use the bracket, some will disagree with me (Goonz ;) ), but Brapple and Parkedcar don't use the bracket either.

yes I used two dzus fasterners, .65 in size, one on each side of the bumper where the install instructions tell you to put the bolt that comes with the mirko .... lets say I didn't have any issue at a high rate of speed ... also if your bumper doesn't have the stays at the corners get them, it will make the bumper more stable ...

I just put 1 screw on each end.... for 2 years now. Never had a problem. Plus there small screws. So the holes don't show when i have the mirko off the car.

By the way install a thin sheet of foam on the sides. So it doesn't tear up the paint from rubbing with the fiberglass.

i think that you can find some more if you search the old forums ...

What's even better is to line the entire inner side of the mirko with peel-n-stick felt from Michaels.

The what?

And the holes you have to drill with the Dzus's are like the size of a nickel right?

the stay or bumper support ... it is a rod that runs from the subframe to the corner of the bumper, the 98s had it but then I think it was decontented ... #4 in the pic ...

as for the size of the hole for the mirko, a nickle sounds about right ...

I used the given brackets, they hold the mirko firmly and are connected then to the front subframe. IMO thats the way to go for a more stable mirko. Those fasteners look huge..plus it takes 5 min to take mine off  I used the small bolt and nut they supplied for the sides as well, once touched up, you cant tell they are even there..

or you can mold it if you live in a warmer climate :)
