MAF Adapter Question.

My question about the MAF Adapter is...is it a 3" opening, or 4"? I found a near by performance store selling them for $30 CDN.

it depends what size filter you have.

most common filter is a 3", so i'd recommend going with a 3" adapter.

3" is smaller than the MAF! The OEM MAF entrance is 84mm.... so you'll want a MAF adapter for at least a 3.25" air filter (still smaller), but 3.5" would be better.

Are you sure their adapters are for your car? The adapter entrance ID should be bigger than 84mm (3.3")... or else you just installed a restriction. For reference, the Mirko adapter has a 91mm OD (3.6"). The OD of the BAT adapter is 85mm (3.35").

I recommend a K&N RU3530 with a MAF adapter from ctamotorsports.com. With a 3" MAF adapter you might as well buy the junk BOMZ intake off ebay.

Zetecs don't use a MAF adapter, they already accept a 3" filter.
Get a decent MAF adapter made for the duratec, not some autozone junk (if it even fits at all). It'll cost you maybe $20-$40. Then you can run a correct sized filter like the 3530 with 3.75" ID.
