First of all, it was cylinder 2... and it wasn't just spun.. it is GONE. There is nothing that resembles anything like a bearing left.

And the "insurance" (warranty) company will only fix what is broken, so I am getting a new crank and new bearings.

Still.. for $50, better than shelling out $3000 or more for a "new" motor on my own..

How much do you have left on your warranty? Next time send a rod thru the block :laugh:

no doubt.. .but discussing such fradulent doings on the forums would be a no-no

Did they remove the heads? when a bearing goes you may have damage to the valves and the cylinder wall and heads from the rod dancing around on the crank.
