I searched, but it's sort of hard to hit the right terms here...

For Contours, does Pre-98 silver = Silver Frost? Or was there a different silver for those years?

There was no silver in Pre-98 at all.

I dont know what you are in reference too, but keep in mind if you get a used part with original paint to go onto your silver car, chances the color isnt exactly going to match, it will look the same, but still a little difference, paint fades over the years.
