I hit a snag in my attempt to remove the dash. In the process, I also managed to damage the vent trim piece that runs the width of the car, right under the window. Apparently the piece is made of balsa wood because it snapped like a twig when I attempted to lever it up ever so slightly.
Right now I am trying to JB weld things back into place, but is it possible to remove the original piece and replace with an unbroken one, or is this just going to break more fragile pieces ? I have a 2000 CSVT that does not have the dash warp repair, but is otherwise in very good condition.
