Well the PATS is owning me so after trying to figure it out for a week, I'm gonna hopefully get it towed to the dealership later today.
My shifter issue is still there so I need someone to come and take a look and diagnose the problem. The linkage *seems* fine to me but it might not be. If it's not that, I'm pretty sure it's the tower so I'll have to looking into getting one.
And of course my strut issue is still there but I just haven't gotten around to ordering a new strut yet

I'm pretty sure your problem with the linkage is your banged up bracket for the linkage. You said its not seated all the way, plus they could be out of line. I sincerely doubt its the shift tower.
