I just wanted to know if the bat y-pipe worth it; will it pass smog, since my car is a dd. And any other y-pipes like msds, but the price is steep and i'm not sure if it will just bolt up to stock. I'd appreciate any recomendations, thanks in advance.

I personally have a trubendz y-pipe (their y-pipes I've never heard of having a fitment issue) And it should bolt up just fine. A MSDS pipe should also bolt up fine.

Another option you have is sticking with the stock pipe and just buying an optimized one or optimizing your own.

Or, if you can hold out for a couple months, there might be a few people selling their y-pipes when they put in Burrita's and Warmonger's turbo kit.

yep that's a great idea there! i personally have the weapon R y pipe. it works well. if you have your catalytic converter and precats intact, it shouldnt affect passing smog.

I had the same question before, but I was convinced that an optimized stock y-pipe is the best in performance and price. So I got one optimized by BNoon (I believe). It was indeed skillfully made, and I felt the car is more smooth with that.

Well, I am also in the bandwagon for the Buritta Turbo kit. If I do jump on that kit, then I would like to see the good ypipe go to some good home.

Doesn't Josh ( Pole120 ) from PRT modify the stock ones still?

thanks everyone, i think i can hold out a few months and give a nice y-pipe a nice so. cal. home(compared to the rest of the countrys weather atm, of course).

Would a Y-pipe that people might be selling on here fit onto my 2001 mercury cougar 2.5l, or would there be a spacing/fitment issue?
