Hmmmm. Got up to go to school today, drove my dads car thru a mess of snow, since teachers must be there at the regular time for a 2hour delay. Been here for an hour, and now they close us. Gotta drive home through the same mess I just got out of.

Oh well, at least I have time for some work on the Pearl. Gotta get her moving again, the wife is ready to issue an ultimatem(??)

I lucked out at my school district. My Superintendent lived at the top of the worst hill in my immediate area. School was always closed if we had any snow over 3 inches. Then the prick bought an H1.

We didn't even have a delay or early dismissal. And we had like 3 inches of snow until it was all said and done.

I used to live in Vermont and we never had a snow day. In 15 years there was ONE snow day. We would get maybe one or two delays a year and they were half hour or an hour delay. I once had to walk to school with 5 inches of snow with a 35 below wind chill up hill both ways because I was kicked off the bus...honest! The superintendent was nuts! Just throw chains on the buses and drive a little slower. Much different from here where I went to high school. In high school we must have had at least 7 or 8 snow days and many delays each year.

I can't believe that our school district had off. First they called a two hour delay and then right before most kids left for school they called "closed".
All for a friggin inch and a half of snow. :blackeye:

Guess it's a judgment call.
