Trans mount

Ok so i found out that my trans mount on the driver side went bad. so i toook it out and the bolt snapped off a while ago. There was about 1.5 inchs left on the bolt. So know i got the bolt off by welding a nut to it and turning it out.

So my question is how long is the origional bolt and what does the origional assembly look like? is there a nut at the end or does it just turn into the trans?

The bolt just turns in. There is no nut on the end.

Edit. This is a Ford part. IIRC, they had about 800 left in October 2006.

well i tried to put a bolt in and it doesnt stay so im pretty sure there is a nut in there somewhere.I looked at Ben's transmount n it seems like there is a nut (maybe welded on)

It's a solid piece. If the bolt is just spinning, it is snapped in half.

I think i am missing the nut because there is nothing with a thread there

I believe there is threaded insert that recieves the bolt.
