Cheap crap. B&M rip off, but poor quality. It's only worth the money if you or someone you know can weld the lower ball for extra support.
Otherwise, plan on keeping the stock shifter, and tools with you in the car for when it breaks on you and you are stuck on the side of the road.

Brent, go over to NECO and do a search for reviews on them. They are made of SS just like the B&M, but their customer service is subpar.

I have the cosmo racing short shifter, and I was really really happy with the part. The price and the customer service.
The instruction they sent were easy to follow, and the job was done inside an hour.
Good value, way better than stock throw.

I got a UDP for the Zetec from them. Quick, easy transaction. Never had to test the CS. I have no experience with the short throw.

I have the shifter in my car and it has seen a good bit of ues. I have had no prob with it shifting. It was very easy to put in and feels great when shifting.

Does it need any additional parts (riser plate, etc). Does everything needed for the install (minus tools of course) come with it?

No. I bought the one that came with the shift knob and I really like their knob so much better than the stock one.

The only thing you have to reuse is the white cover for the pivot ball.
