Video compilation of some friends cars

The Green cavalier finished off with 280whp and 267lbft of torque. The Red cavalier with the 3.1 turbo dyno'd at 322whp and right around the same torque, the blue Cobalt dyno'd around 270whp, the Green Neon hasn't been dyno'd yet, but has been built for right around 500hp, the Orange Datsun is built for around 300hp.

So yeah, I'd say they're all relatively fast.

I cant believe I am saying this, but aside from the wing and the rims on that neon, That car looked pretty sick.
 
Yeah, I don't know why my buddy picked that music. But yes, most of those cars are quite fast, though the cavalier guy has said that he wants to do it over with a better platform.

That 3.1L, is that the old multi-port one they used in the GP turbo back in 90-91, or the newer one:confused: Either way, great numbers but no way to really use it unless your rollin' down the road.
 
Absolutely Love the Datsun. The other cars, well, I completely respect the work taht was put into them, gotta love it, and their fast too, which is awesome, but IMO, you can't polish a turd!

i agree, neons and cavvys are like an escort imo.. like i said, i admire the work but still
 
ive seen a couple of fast caveliers and i got a buddy with a low 11 second neon.
 
I've seen a fast Dodge Caravan, that doesn't make it cool.


my buddies neon is pretty cool trust me. im trying to get him to come to sz with me he has full fiberglass interior including dash and a srt4 conversion in a early model (tons of fab to do that) full custom wide body,90 degree vertical doors and air ride that will hop the car 12 inches off the ground.and still will run an 11 = pretty cool

I think personally, no matter how ugly a car can be made... If the fabrication process is extensive and precise, its a cool car. I respect hard work and dedication, especially in the case of an SRT-4 conversion in an early neon, that takes bawls.
 
LMFAO! Still a better platform than a Cavalier, a Cavalier is more in Escort territory IMO.
What's wrong with an escort? They can be made faster for cheaper than a contour and handle very well. 1.8LBPT built and modded in an escort>any contour. The car itself may not have leather, be cheap, and all that,,, but the platform was pretty darn good and lasted ford about 12 or 13 years with basically no changes.
