So I am assuming you consider your ear trained?
My pappy told me something once, "You are not really good at something till you admit there are people that are much better than you at it."
It really got me that you spoke as though you have been through tons of school and decades of experience about mechanical parts and service. :nonono:
wow, way to make me sound like a ass, dickhole.
Untrained being someone who doesnt pay attention.
I have OCD, so I pay attention to the smallest details, this includes sounds. If anything on my car makes sounds, I know/try to figure out what they are and if they are an issue or not.
I have owned two contours, I knew every sound that my old tour makes, and I know every sound that my new tour makes. Dash rattles, Sway bar endlink clunks, clutch chatter, etc etc...
I in no means mean to say that I am an expect, but I am trying to say I have enough experience in the field to put in my $.02 Thats all. Not that I have gobs and gobs of experience. Although I have had a few auto shop classes in dealing with Automotive repair and diagnostics, and no not just high school classes.
Furthermore... "Spoke as though?" are you serious? its an internet forum. However you read what I say is however you infer it. I have no control over the way you
think I spoke. Because I didnt speak at all, I merely offered information in a non threatening fasion based upon personal experience.
