wheels moving in neutral?

ok when i had my car off the ground yesterday i started it and put it in neutral and the front wheels were moving! wtf yes I'm sure it was in neutral. what gives?????
 
Its pretty common and nothing to worry about. Usually you will see it when its cold and the transmission fluid is thick.
If you just put your hand on the wheel that should be enough to stop them turning.
 
....Christ...what a dumb post!..Do we all know what a 'constant mesh' gearbox is and how it works?Do we know the term 'oil drag'??Don't tell me'....if I put my foot on the brake will it stall the engine!!!.....Do we also understand that the internals of the gearbox are all spinning with the clutch up in neutral??? Wow,what a slow' crowd these days?!!

well its better to be concerned about little things we see than not at all right. but I'm happy its normal.:cool:

I think it's just that compared to *that* site... "newb" questions are not as common here, but it wasn't really that noobish of a question. :rolleyes:
