ok i was wondering if anyone has ever thought of cutting a nice hole in the hoof right were the cold air filter is and ether putting some mesh in the hole or a little scoop for better air flow. im not gunna do it cause then i really shouldt drive in the rain. but its a thought for those who dont let there cars see rain or snow.

someone once put lovers in the drivers fender to let cold air in ... also there have been people that have used the cosworth hood vents ...

Stazi (IIRC) used to have a naca duct right there for the intake, as well as the Escort Cossie vents for heat reduction. He's changed his setup now, though, I think.

there used to be a old style neon running around where I live that had its air filter sticking up out of a hole in the hood. Rain, snow, shine he drove it. I have noticed that a woman is driving it now and it has a "hood scoop" on it where the hole was, so I think he sold it and "fixed" it....just a littttttle off center for the scoop (like where the bumps are on DSM's). Looked ghetto fabulous.

i was talking about doing this when i got my heatshield.. thought like a good idea, by girlfriend brother is a body work guy ..i didnt know whether the rain thing would be a problem, because its a filter not an innercooler. and it would be somewhat better air flow.. and there aren't many if any svts in my area at least that have a scoop..
