On the SE ATX that I just sold the break light keeps flickering. It seems to do it alot when driving up a hill or turning. Any ideas on what it is?

Thanks in advance.

Check the wiring loom which runs on the driver's side back seat. By the bottom of the C pillar.

If you are talking about the dash brake warning light, there are two things that turn it on. A low brake fluid warning sensor in the brake master cylinder, and a switch on the park brake handle warning you that the park brake is on.

Check your brake fluid level. If it is low, also check brake pad wear as well as look for leaks.

ROTFL. I did not realize he was talking about the Parking Brake light on the instrument panel.

Yes, skilla, check the brake fluid level in the reservoir (on the drivers' side of the engine bay).

It usually does it more often when turning left, correct? This is how my brake light turned on when I got low on brake fluid. It started when I would take a hard left. Eventually, when it got low enough, it would do it when I was on an incline. The sensor that reads how much fluid there is in the resevoir is on the left/driver's side of it. So this is why it would go on when turning left. I recommend checking around your resevoir around your brake lines, follow each brake line to the caliper, then follow that to the brakes themselves for each wheel. It should be very obvious where the leak is. In my case it was ridiculously obvious. I killed the cylinder in my right rear and fluid was leaking right onto my wheel and it spun all inside my wheel well and all over my tires and wheels. Even my hubcap was covered. That stuff is nasty.
