If all you want to know is what month and year, it should be on the door jamb. If all you want to know is what year, it should be on your registration or title (or look at 10th digit from left of the VIN. If it is W=98, X=99, Y=00).
Ask them what the build date is, they will give you the exact date that your car was made. You can also ask them what the production number is.
If you want the SVT certificate with this information on it they will require you to send or fax to them your registration as proof of ownership. The certificate will cost you though.
