Well the tour is getting older and has a few more miles. 105K And well in the last few days it seems like the car is lagging really bad. It isnt near as powerful as it once was. What can i do to change that, i was thinking plugs wires and maybe injectors. Let me know of anything I might have missed.

Pull your plugs if they havent been replaced yet and replace with Autolite Double Plats..If you think you need new wires let me know im pretty sure i have another set of stock Wires here..
Also while the plugs are out check your compression if you can, since you think its lagging power..
Also any CEL light? if so whats the code.

check to make sure the little bushings the the imrc linkage hooks to are still there. if they fall out the secondaries wont open and the car will feel like a turd after 3500 rpm

Check linkage to be sure both banks are opening. Been at least one instance of this that I can recall.

My IMRC was bad and did the same thing, and I agree make sure the linkage moves freely. No CELs??Feels fine below 3500?
Good Luck-Rikk

Yeah got an O2 code

i'll check the linkage, i am willing to bet thats what is it, the kick isnt there at 3500 like it use to be, also
What would you recommend for cleaning the UIM and LIM?

Pull them both, Soak in Simple green Over night. Power wash them out.
That should take care of most of it.

I would recommend you reading that big ol' thread that is right above where you posted yours.. You know the one: it says "READ ME FIRST" (which you obviously didn't do)

Scroll down to the UIM/LIM cleaning and read the "OFF THE CAR" method.

My Contour has 106,000 miles on it and was feeling a little slow. I replaced the plugs/wires, coil pack (tested outside of specifications), fuel filter, air filter, and UIM/LIM cleaning. It drives like a new car. I bought this car used and the previous owner must not have done anything to maintain this car. Check out your coil pack while you are replacing plugs/wires...I saw an immediate difference after replacing mine even though it looked as though it was quite new.

Coil pack test
