One of the saddest car-guy moments of my life was one night, when I was on my way home... there was a really nice blue Elise that apparently tried to take the corner a little too fast on a turn-about... and was wraped around the column under the overpass. The driver was fine... he was out talking on his cell... probably to his insurance company.
The WORST part of it was... the car still had PAPER DEALER PLATES.
Take it Lotus's are rare cars in the US? lol they are built like 20 miles from where i used to live, such ugly cars really, cant fault the engine, but just dont like Lotus's full stop, except the Esprit and Carlton, mmmmmn
There are prolly a half- dozen Elise's around the Boston area. Cute little things. I wouldn't buy one, but, I can't argue with the looks or performance.
Kind of has the same appeal as, say.... a Miata. There's something about riding shoulder to shoulder with another guy that will never feel comfortable to me. No, I've never driven an Elise, but I can still have an opinion.
I'd let my girlfriend drive one though.
just make sure that you never allow a shop to put the car on a lift when changing or rotating tires. LOL That thread was awesome!
Love the cars but its unreal how tiny they are... I think if I got in I'd never be able to get out or vice versa... they look incredibly small, like a diet car of sorts.
i see an orange one just about every day, must be his daily driver...i love the looks of them.....they are very tiny though...squeezed in one at the auto show, and it was definitely not fun getting in and out of(especially out)but sitting in it i can imagine how much fun it would be to drive it..btw my 3 year old loved it,i couldn't get him out of it...fit him just right too lol...
