No0bs

Haaaaa! Haaaaa! Silly noobs can't find the new board!!

"Dang! Where everbuddy at? Why can't I post?"

Har, Har.

every once and awhile i go back to the old forums and there is always guest and other people there. Maybe not everyone has seen the new one yet.

Maybe there should be a message that pops up saying the site has moved when you enter it.

If they were noobs, how would they go to old site? They click on forums and it brings them here.

which site still shows up on web searches? maybe it is the old site and that is why

 True true. Hopefully they find the info they need by searching through those archives.
I did a google search the other day for some parts and it came up with a link to the new forums.

I actually had a hard time signing up. I'd put my name in and pasword and all that. Then it would say it sent me a email, but when I looked at my email it would never come up. Did this about 5-6 times before it finally went through.

They're probably all getting "All servers are busy. Please try again later." and give up.

I'm seriously getting this error message all the time now. And I'm not on CEG that often since the forum switch (1/2 hr a day max). It's very frustrating.

I was gonna ask too why there hasn't been any new members. I thought it was just something messed up the forums and didn't change the name from ZippySVT for a long time but now that I think about, I haven't seen anyone new.

The old forums had people signing up left and right. There must be something going on causing this.

Speaking of noobs - I have a noob question. So I was reading the reliability thread - and I came to realize that Im more or less on the lower end of high-mileage (85k). Im planning on keeping this car for at least another three years (through med school) and hopefully through residency (5 years - albeit 8 years is asking a lot I would think).

Anyways, money is tight. But I reallllllllllly want to throw a Koni Kit on there. Would you guys bother modding a car with that many miles on it - use the logical side of your brain on this one.

I just spent over $600 putting all new struts/springs in my '95, which has over 150,000 miles on it.
I put OEM parts on, but still, who the hell knows when this car will die.
I say do it if you can afford it. Your existing set up isn't getting any younger.

As far as the old forums, I see people browsing there too, but that doesn't mean they don't know the forums are now here. I'm sure some people are over there doing searches.
Although it's funny to get a pm from a clueless user that didn't frequent the forums often enough to realize we migrated. "Kim, am I banned? wtf?!" hehehehe
