pinch weld adapters

why not just take a block of wood and cut a slot in it  thats what i did and it has worked great now for several years.

i was afraid the wood would split. also this is for more than just my svt. i already got one. its a good quality part. have yet to put it on my jack. damn i have 2 jacks. a small one to get it off the ground then one for high lifting.

i have been using the same block of wood for several years now. its just a a square block of wood about 4" wide and 3" tall. cut a slot about .5" deep down the middle and it works great. i use it on all my parents cars (03 Mazda6, 04 Honda Civic, 02, Honda Odysse) as well with now problems.

since you have one now its not a big deal but other people may want to save a little bit of money and make one.

i have to cut a new piece of wood every time i jack up the car. dang things keep splitting on me. scary when it splits and i'm lying right underneath it

i was installing a new door today with my dad so while the table saw was out i made 4 of these for the jack stands to sit on if i use the pinch welds. they are 4x4"s and i cut across the grain in the hope they would not split. i have not used them yet so we shale see.

Never get under a car with just a jack holding it up. ALWAYS use jack stands to safely support the car.

+1, a jack could fail at any time. and the jack that comes with your car should never be used unless its an emergency(flat tire). they are even less safe.
