Help!!

so, in the last week or so my car has been performing badly. it feels like i'm driving with my tires flat or something, so i look today and see a TON of brake dust on my front left wheel... do i have a dragging pad or something, and how can i check? I'd rather not go to a shop if i can do something about it myself, but i need to figure it out soon, if i am wearing down my pads.

well... if you wish to avoid a shop, you will need some form of experience, or at least confidence.

Start by doing the simple things:

jack up the offending wheel, and remove the lugnuts, then inspect to see if you have a clamped caliper on your rotor, or a warped rotor, etc.

well, it comes and goes, and right now it's not doing it...
i guess i was more asking if i'm on the right track? does it sound like a caliper problem?
