I need more power!

what did he have

Headers, true duals, max extrude honed UIM, enlarged LIM, optimized TB, custom intake system, port matched everything, tuned by himself, etc. Hes very meticulous about his engine builds. Most of this stuff got switched over to his 3.0L build. And judging by his track times, his 3.0L is making very nice power.
 
Kremithefrog has my prior car and it made 18x(186??) whp with an intake, and minor exhaust.

exhaust as in piping and mufflers or headers/y-pipe included? That's pretty dam good either way, makes me want to keep the 2.5. Lately with all the 3L hype it makes the 2.5 seem like garbage
 
The 2.5 is a great engine if it only had alot more torque and more oil drainbacks in the heads. Oh wait, Ford did fix those things and gave us an extra 1/2L to play with all in the same engine. :)
 
Ummm no! 25 hp from headers and true duals? You're on friggin crack! You know the highest 2.5 is 180hp to the wheels right? A stock SVT puts about 165 to the ground. Add 25 to that. If you think you can get 190hp with just headers and exhaust? You're the greatest CEGer of all time!



CSVT#49 made 187 WHP on a 2.5L with 70k miles, headers, and a cat-back. stock Y pipe and cat at the time. Stock intake. Stock tune. lol!~

Redlineracer12's old engine did 187 WHP with a tune, intake, headers/y pipe/hi flow cat/ borla exhaust.

they both had 17" wheels on their cars too, if anyone is worried about high numbers being due to wheel diameter.

TRicker you are transposing my numbers (not that I'm complaining :D) or something as I made 178 with my 2.5.... Though I could make more out of it this time out ;) Don't make a note of the tune. It was back when I had a HypillAuto tune :blackeye: it was at like 11:1 AFR WOT, there was more power to be had.

And only if they would've stuck with the split port intakes and water pump driven off the cam we'd really be in business :cool:
