brake problem

today i was driving and my brakes were already bad and needed to be replaced. but a light turned red and i had to slam on my brakes, well after i slammed on them, my brake pedal turned into mush and every time i hit the brakes the emergency brake light comes on. tomorrow i am replacing the front rotors and pads, but am worried its going to be something more than that. has anyone had any other experience with this problem?

Well after having slammed on the brakes like that your caliper is probably done. Can you see any fluid dripping down from the wheel?

i didnt see any. the rear brakes are drums. and i tried the emergency brake and it was there but def not holding like an emergency brake should.
