Did anybody hear about the disaster at the Corvette Show at Carlisle in August? :blackeye: (Credit to Rodster for passing these links along to me ;))

First link not so 56k friendly

This link to the Keystone State Corvette Club's site contains thumbnails of all the pic's/reaction from a few who were there.

Wow  . Makes ya thankful that this wasn't us at Ford Carlisle in June.

Wonder if our big yellow and white tent got destroyed?

Besides the fact that it always seems to rain at the All Ford show ...(except last year!) :) there have been some exciting times at Carlisle events. One year part of a building was knocked down by a storm and a other year at a Spring show, State Police shot and killed a vendor (criminal) on the run from the law.

I also tend to remember all of the cheap NOS parts I DIDN'T buy!

Wow! That's some devastation. :(

The Staties shot a vendor. That's crazy.

The guy was a nutter . Long story (very) short - IIRC he killed his family (or something similar) and went to Carlisle , the cops cornered him and he resisted , threw parts at them and then tried to assault them with an axle & they shot him dead .

firearms in the right hands FTW

 and that
's considered an act of god too right? which means the insurance won't cover it? talk about pwned!

on a lighter note...seemed to be some cute chicks there!

How the heck does the front get ripped off?! Seems like a lot of vettes with damage were ugly 80/90's any who. LOL!

Wow I didn't even realize this happened. I had gone home that weekend and was passing (and getting passed ; my SVT wouldn't keep up, go figure) by many nice vette's on Friday morning. Such a shame.

if you notice on the front corner of the silver vette is says "rebuild able salvage title"
i don't know about any of your insurance companies, but i sure as hell couldn't get an estimate, a reply and a new title in the same day the damage happened.

i think a lot of that damage was existing.

Wow good eye. I never even noticed that.

Yea, I believe that pic was taken before the storm hit. Hence sunny weather, ground/car not being wet, many people in the background/ tents still standing etc.

It was probably a posting error and should be with the pic's in the "before the storm" grouping.
