thud noise from rear of engine

On my SVT, I noticed that I can hear a thud like noise coming from my engine bay when the car is idling. Its like thud, thud, thud, thud, thud. Its not a tapping noise, but a thud like noise, and it sounds like its coming from the firewall side near the pulleys. It changed rythim when engine speed is increased, but its not too loud. I think the intake noise drowns it out. Any one have any ideas? Its hard to hear with the hood closed, but when its open, its obvious.

PS: I'll try to get a sound clip of the noise too.

Put your car in neutral with the parking brake set, open the hood with the car running, and listen to sound. You can even open the throttle by hand while it's running.

my car makes similar noises , i was told it was the throw out bearing
