I'm currently running Intrax Spring with Koni's. The drop is immaculate and the handling is great but the ride quality is too harsh for my personal taste. Looking to switch over to something more compliant in terms of the ride while still maintaining an assertive drop and respectable handling. I know the B+G's are supposed to be a good bang for the buck and the H&R's are also a good choice. I'm open to Eibach as well but I'm just trying to get a general idea of what to expect considering that it looks like I'm going to have to come out of pocket at least $200 for new springs. :help:

If anyone has any ideas or pics on the koni blue springs, that would be appreciated as well. An all koni set-up would be pretty sweet.

If you don't want a harsh ride, but want a lowered ride height, then progressive springs are a good way to go. I say eibach pro kit.

I started a B+G group buy a little while ago, and they'll still honor it, just search.

Here's my old tour on B+G sports.

Sweet moses those OZ's are perfect for these cars...

Thanks for the food for thought on the B+G's. I knew they were solid but I didn't know they offered 2 different springs. I think I will give the sports a chance and see how they work out.

i have eibach pro kit springs. they are the old style, with few miles on them. most people complain of arse sag, or a level look. mine has about a 5/8" rake on it. it looks perfect. dropped the car 3/4" in the back, and about 1.5" in the front. if you can get your hands on some earlier springs that are basically new, your in business.

Intrax, B+G, Eibach, H&R, ect...

Looks aside, how do handling and ride compare to stock??

I love my BAT KIT all around goodness!

That's what I installed about 3K miles ago. It's a nice package and balances many attributes well, but overall it's softer than I care for. That is, more body roll, brake dive, and less road feel IMHO.

That's why I'm interested in subjective comparisons to stock.

H & R seem to be good from what ive seen. i havent done my suspension but i was playing with the idea some time ago.

Ive got H&Rs over Bilsteins on mine and the handling is amazing. The ride quality is definitely more harsh than the stock setup, but i think a lot of that has the do with the Bilsteins. imo its definitely a streetable setup comfort and handling wise. The only thing that dissapointed me about the H&Rs was that they didnt lower as much as i was expecting. It only dropped about 3/4 inch in front and 1/2 inch in rear. So, if you want the lower look and good handling/ comfort I would say go with the Eibachs..

so the eibachs lower the car more than H&Rs? im going to get bilstien struts but i dont know which spring set up lowers the car the most between the tow. H&R or Eibach?

yes, the eibachs lower the car about 1.4 inch all around. compared to the 1/2 inch rear and 1 inch drop in front i got from the H&Rs. both springs are definitely worth it in the handling range, ive compared one with eibachs on it with mine and they both handle great and about the same. but if you want a spring that will lower more out of the two, eibach is the way to go..
