Is this a knock?

I got a 99CSVT w/ 42K on it and i just changed the oil. Now, it almost has a slight engine knock, AND IT REALLY BOTHERS ME!!! Its not like I beat on it and it has low mileage. The oil level is correct (I added 6 quarts of MOBIL 1 Syn.) Is this a precurser is anything bad happening? Oh yeah and I put premium in too. What could this be? I think it only occurs when the engine is warm.

What oil filter did you put in when you changed the oil? And post a sound clip.
 
you might just be hearing MTX-75 gear rollover. or the lifters starting to show age.

I can only hear it at idle and it seems to do it only sometimes. Mobil 1 filter as well. The knock really bothers me tho.
 
Did you ever get a sound clip? Or did you ever fic the problem? Mine makes noise and its driving me crazy!
 
If it's intermittent it might be ping/knock. Since you just got it, you don't really know what the prior owner did or did not do.. in reguards to maintenance.

I would do typical maintenance:
1) replace air filter and fuel filter
2) clean TB/UIM/LIM
3) clean MAF
3) run seafoam in all 3 suggested areas (on bottle label)

If you still hear the sound... check the EGR valve. You'll also want to change the spark plugs and wires, if they haven't been changed recently. At least check the plug gap to make sure they weren't put in without gapping them.

You can also run a full tank of 100 octane to see if that helps... and you can diagnose further from there.
