vibrations during braking

I noticed when I brake suddenly that the car vibrates when brakes are first applied then as I get closer to a stop and aplly more pressure that it goes away. My geuss was rotors need resurfacing or replacing, anybody else have any ideas?

thats pretty much it. when u do get em resurfaced, just go ahead n get new pads too. they'll last longer.

Before you do that, check the torque for the lugnuts.

Have you done anything recently with the tire off?

Check:
-Caliper retention spring
-Bolts attaching caliper to knuckle
-slider pins
-Wheel weights
-Lugs
-inside of wheels for clumps of winter dirt

Ensure your lug nuts are properly tightened and torqued before replacing the rotors. Also, check the caliper to make sure everything is secured properly.
