There had been quite a bit of talk about having a meet in either Daytona or near Kennedy Space Center.

May 25th is very close to our 3 month interval and is a Sunday... AND is the scheduled launch date of STS-124

I am proposing a meet in Titusville for that weekend.
If we plan this, and the launch is scrubbed.. then oh-well the meet will go on with no launch.

At this point I am just looking for feedback from the FL CEG'ers (or anybody else that wants to attend)
What does everybody think?

Well after some more researching, I find that the launch is set for 7:26 PM on Sunday evening. I am sure most of us would be home or on our way home by then....

So I am open to other ideas for a meet in May.
 
Does it have to be on a sunday? Daytona would be pretty cool. Maybe start a thread with a poll in it with a couple of options and see what the consensus is.
 
Daytona sounds fun, I'd love to have the meet fall on my b-day (May 26) but the damn leap year made it on a Monday.
 
I went to the Daytona USA website. It looks like there isnt much activity going on in May. I didnt know if there was a open track time. Like a test and tune for the track. Even daytona beach area has plenty to do. I just cant think of anything off the top of my head.:shrug: I help out so much.:blackeye:
 
Yeah.. no such thing at a track like Daytona.
But.. Daytona USA (or whatever it is called now) looks fun.

Would people rather stay near the beach or near the speedway if we were to do this meet there?
 
Hotel on the BEACH FTW..

If this is going to be in Daytona..Ive been to Daytona once or twice..
Maybe go to ST. Augustine - Very fun and the oldest city in FL..
