So, my wifey told me if I want a 3 liter, I need to pull my 2.5 and sell it to pay for the 3.0L, because apparently she likes the garage being cleaned. My question is how much do you sell the complete 2.5L SVT motor with 124K for??

Like I know brand new from ford they cost $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

IDK help me :D

$50

to me. :D

in all honesty, its probably worth $300-$450 right around there. a High mileage motor doesnt mean a whole lot, of course if someone buys it to just throw in their car, yeah its still a high mileage motor, but most people would put new rod bearings in before doing that, because thats really the only thing on the duratec motor that is prone to failure, or rather, to cause catastrophic engine failure. Some people even replace their rod bearings onces every X amount of miles to prevent having engine failure.

You could sell it whole for what Alias said.....or you could sell the UIM for around $200, TB for $75, LIM for $100, Cams for $100-150(?). Then you can also sell the block and the rest of the heads for cheap. Come out ahead over just selling the whole engine.

That'll work but don't expect much for the block and heads if you've sold off all the SVT parts. I tried selling a block and heads forever with 50k miles with no serious buyers (everyone looking for a 2.5 wants a ready to go engine) before I ended up buying a car to put it in :D

wonder how much you could get for scrap on it.
