Car Got Keyed...

So some a**hole keyed my car last night in the driveway. Went to work this morning and discovered it. Can't figure out who or why anyone would do it... I didn't piss anyone off that I know of, don't owe any money except credit cards and student loans, and no other cars were damaged, including my mom's Camry parked right next to it. Cops came and filed a report, and I took it to a body shop; $1013.97 to repair. Our insurance deductible is $500 or $200, not sure which. Still, I'm angry I have to spend my money to fix what some jerk did. It's cut right down to the steel, so the whole roof has to be stripped and repainted.

And the worst one: they caught the key or whatever in a spot that was chipped (where the little spot of rust is), and took a huge chuck off.

Where the rust is I put down a small amount of bondo, and primed/painted/cleared over it. I don't think I left enough time for the bondo to cure though and it chipped off in December. The key they used got under the base coat but left the primer, so it looks weird.

I'm "glad" they only got the roof. They scribbled "f**k you" into the paint too but you can hardly read it. I'm really pissed, but have no one to get pissed at, that's the worst part.

that is messed up, but whoever it is had to been pissed off at you for something, why else would they put f you on there? I use to have a drop top eclipse and someone ripped the top all up so I know your pain, I would rather have someone attack me then my car.

i remember when reebs had his car keyed, no reason for it, but the longer version of f you was on the hood.

The only thing I can think of is my mom is a bus driver, maybe she pissed some kid off and he wanted revenge, but got the wrong car. The cops said it could have been targeted at someone else in the neighborhood but they got the wrong car. I work as an EMT, how could I piss anyone off?

Sucks man! Been there before. My old T red was keyed under my ownership and even keyed in a school parking lot under the previous owner! Dumb kids do things out of jealousy or just plain out being idiots trying to look "bad a**" and "cool" infront of their little other punk friends. My car wasn't parked near ANYONE I knew and so I know it wasn't something like that from a mad x chica or angry friend and I still got the F*** you on the hood because that is the only word that makes them feel "cool." I would honestly strangle one of these punk kids if I ever got my hands around there scrawny a** necks. Here are some pics of my pain. I think I cried for a week.

$4,750 later is was all worth it though!
