i seem to have a problem with windows explorer when online. my computer doesnt seem to show the whole page so there is alays a side to side scroll on the page and it gets annoying. it seemed to do it when i used aol too.

i've found on slower computers ( i have a p4 1.6), firefox is a complete pig. Especially when dealing with embedded video and multimedia. i've used it for a while, but now am on IE 7.0. IE runs much faster.

Well start with the basics, do you have your browser window maximized? (click on the square button in the upper right.)

Do you have your text size set too large? In Internet Explorer 6.0 you can change the text size in the View menu under Text Size.

Also as others have mentioned, check your resolution. If you have a 17" monitor, you should run at least 1024x768 (horizontal pixels x vertical pixels), 1280x1024 is better if your eyes are good. You can go to this page to see what resolution you are running: http://sole.hsc.wvu.edu/portal/user/SOLE_ready/index.asp?more=1&bhcp=1#detail

i set it to 1024x768. i think i need to adjust my moniter now. seems to work better. i think m y girlfriend might have messed with it. i have 20\20 vision and she doesnt see to well. cause when i first got this screen i had no problems with it.

Another thing you can try: If you have a mouse with a scroll wheel (in between the left and right buttons) then you can hold ctrl and roll the scroll wheel back and forth to change the text size on the fly. This only effects web browsers tho..just another thing to try out.

Yeah IE 7 is great if you like security holes....
