interior swap: PT -> MNB

did you notice the difference in the support bars? the E1 had a metal hanger sticking out while the E0 didn't. did you swap support bars?
 
black98svt: turbo_fox is putting it in his black E0.

jolly: we knocked that hangar around till the dash fit! It is bent at a slightly lower angle than it previously was. :laugh:
WTF is that thing for anyway?????
 
i don't know it bolted up to the back of the E1 dash somewhere. I chopped mine off. me and my brother was staring at it for like an hour trying to figure out why it was different.

Personally, I don't consider this mod any different than a change in suspension, wheels, engine, or exterior color. :shrug: Definitely agree T-red/MNB :cool:
 
You guys are so insane. I can't believe how much work you did on that! I'm pumped to see the finished product. Your car is on its way to being one of the hotter SVT's on the site, Matt ;) (if it isn't already!)
 
i switched out my se leather for the MNB. Everything was easy.

as for the air bag not hooking up. just file the tab so it fits. everything fits now for mine and all my cruise buttons and horn work.

That's what I was thinking going through the thread. Of course it doesn't really matter now, but in the future, maybe...

But I can't really talk since I already have the t-red/MNB. (I probably would have done the swap also..so hot!)
 
(a) It's still a stock SVT interior. More "authentic" than Recaro seats, molded gauges in dashboard, etc.

(b) I have a friend whose '54 MG-TF has the original leather seats. They look like crap .. completely rotted away .. but he will never swap or recover them because they are original to the car.
I personally don't see the point. It is my car .... I don't plan to sell it; I plan to enjoy it. I wouldn't tolerate something that makes me cringe every time I got in.

I love the T-red/MNB and it makes me feel so good to see it in the car. :)
 
are your seats hotter now when the sun is on them? is the cabin temp hotter cars it darker inside.. haha im just bored.... looks nice
