Here are the facts... I have a 96 Contour sport v6 MTX with 148,000 miles on it. I just did an entire upper and lower intake manifold rebuild/clean a few months back, and I haven't been able to get rid of this code (PO401 EGR insufficient Flow). I cleaned the EGR ports in my upper intake manifold obviously, and I was given a brand new EGR valve for free, so I slapped that on with a new gasket. I also replaced my DPFE. So what gives? I don't know why this code won't go away. And yes, of course I reset my ecu! :)

Code number 2... this code just popped up... I have never had this code before. P0303 (cylinder 3 misfire). Any quick and easy things to check!??! It is dark out, but in the morning I will check my wire running to the plug and back to the distributer. Hopefully it is nothing serious!

Thanks for any advice, opinions, or suggestions!

did you reconnect the dpfe lines correctly, I think tony just posted recently that if there where reversed it would cause a P0402 code

as for the misfire, its a misfire, it could be the plug or wire going bad or moisture, check that the boot is on right ...

Yes, I am positive that I reconnected my DPFE lines correctly. But thanks, that is a good question to ask! Also, thanks for your infor on the misfire. I figured that it was something like that. I guess I just gotta check it out tomorrow in the daylight. Is it bad for the engine if I have to drive with the "misfire" for an hour or so before I can fix it!?!?
