Unstoppable leak

I have been having a leak in the area of the pump on the atx of my 1996 2.0L 'Tour this all started when the transmission mount failed which resulted in the transmission case hitting on the suspension. Unfortunately this occurred for several weeks before it was discovered that the mount was defective & after the mount was replaced it was discovered that the transmission was leaking at the bottom where the pump fits into the case. I have used several epoxies e.g Permatex Cold Weld, Marine Tex etc. in attempt at stopping the leak, however, they all failed. It should be noted that the transmission works fine, therefore I cannot justify removing it just for a leak. Consequently I am using this medium to ascertain whether the gap between the pump & the case (the point where it leaks) can be welded (and if so how) close in order to stop the leak until I can replace the unit.
As usual any & all suggestions/advice will be greatly appreciated.

ContourGuy9817. Thanks for the response it's greatly appreciated. However, as I stated in my original post I have tried almost all epoxies including JD Weld with no success. That's why I am now considering welding (in place), however, I am wondering whether it's possible or will it damage the transmission.

It won't damage the tranny. At this point, you can't lose trying it.

Are you making sure the area is 100% clean and prepped (and not further leaking) before you are applying the epoxies? Also I would use 20-30 grit sandpaper, so it has tons of mech. adhesion.

A pic might help, too.
