should a meeting time/place be set to meet before hand to drive into the show together? I did note that the flier says the staff will assign classes the day of the show.

I guess, depending on the car, we'll be put into either class 6 or 7.
7 is the modified class and 6 is stock.
If they don't know any better, we may all be lumped into class 6, even though technically your blue Contour should go into class 7.


I wouldn't know where to meet up beforehand.
I'm not even sure we know what time we'd like to leave our house the next morning, especially if we're up late Saturday night.

thats to bad, it only rained for about 20 minutes around 11:30~12.


Day turned out pretty nice. I ended up with 2nd place in the 1971+ stock category.

iirc it was a 74 LTD Springfield Police Car. I am sure Laura and Mike would approve :laugh:

the other two cars in the group where Mercury Capris. One was a late 80's model I think, not really sure. The other I flipped out over, it was a 1979 RS, I4 Turbo, black on orange vynl, identical to the one my father had!

interesting points, not even after 5 minutes I had a guy tell me I had better get my card turned in so people could vote on the SVT. Also I heard some other guys later talking about the car and they knew SVT had actually made contours and foci :laugh:. Also there was another guy that said his son had a 3L cougar.

thats a fair loss.
try being in a car show and losing to a john deere tractor and a Prowler.

it was a classic car show and i lost to a non-car and a car built in 2004.
thats a major WTF
