Installed SVT UIM/LIM/TB, radiator fan won't turn off

I installed an SVT UIM/LIM/TB/injectors today on my 96 SE. When I started it up, the radiator fan came on immediately and stayed on until I turned the ignition off. The fan runs on the low speed initially, then bumps up to high speed and stays there. Does anyone know what is going on here? At first I thought I forgot to reconnect wiring somewhere, but I checked and didn't see any unmated connectors.

I do have a check engine light, but it was on before the install. I don't remember the codes off-hand, but there were two codes refering to bank 2 too lean. I am going to Autozone tomorrow to see if there are any new codes.

Any help would be much appreciated.

(PS - did search for radiator fan stuck on, but didn't find anything)

Is the A/C off ???

Temperature data for the fans comes from the ECT sensor.

how does the wiring harness look? maybe you moved a wire or wires that have shorted out or something like that because of a bad wiring harness ...

The switch for the AC is off, and I don't hear the compressor cycling. Where is the ECT sensor located? Maybe I damaged it during the surgery.

The protective wrap around the wiring harness is showing signs of age. The wrap cracked in some places when I moved it, but the wires that I was able to see were ok.

I hope you get a tune for those larger injectors...

My original intention was to use my old injectors and fuel rail with the SVT LIM, but when I started taking things apart I realized this would not work. The injectors are a different shape and the fuel rail bolts to the LIM differently. I had to run back to the junkyard to get the rest of the parts. (this all started when I was at the junkyard pulling a parking brake and stumbled across an SVT!)

The short answer is no, I wasn't planning on getting a tune. Obviously I should rethink that. Do you have a recommendation on tuning? I am not very knowledge about it.

I agree with Brapple, you must have some wires crossed somewhere.
What parts are you talking about? Did you splice in different injector connectors from the SVT?
Also make sure you have the large gang connectors fully locked together. You can see the lock tab. Make sure none of the individual pins didn't get pushed out of position.
This summer I put my SVT UIM back on my SE only to have an idle that wouldn't come down. I spent alot of time swaping back my original parts and still had the high idle that would come intermittently.
Finally looked at connector C179 and saw the white wire for the TPS wasn't fully seated together. The tech that did my wiring harness recall didn't have that connector together right and over time (two months) came loose.

The source of the problem was carelessness on my part. The coolant temperature sensor was disconnected. Thanks for the input. I apologize for soliciting your help for such a stupid reason.

By the way, the CEL code was for the coolant temp sensor. The old codes are not back yet.

Good you found the problem. The connector is hard to get at and easy to miss.
Are you using the SVT injectors?
