I pass inspection with mine, no issues.
MIL eliminators FTW!
Thanks to this GB it seems that we'll be doing two more header installs. We've done two already.
uhh yeah luca u could run straight pipes since ur emission exempt arent you?
Want to come over here and install them on my car? No garage and it is only -20 below right now. Could be fun!
can i just get the y-pipe and everything else i may need? anybody have a price on that also?
the rear one is simple with the intermediate shaft out![]()
Since I am already in line for Joey's turbo kit, I won't need the y pipe. I am just going with the headers for $180 plus the $125 ceramic coating. Plus $30 for shipping, so it looks like about $335 shipped for just the headers and the coating. I need to call marty to clarify, but this is where I found the coating price at the bottom of the page... and for those who don't want to click on the link... this is what it says.
"Try MSDS new Z95 Ceramic Coating... good up to 1,650 degrees,
FAA approved!
4 Cylinder $115 - 6 Cylinder $125 - 8 Cylinder $185"
http://www.msdsinc.com/exhaust_1.htm
Might need a set of these as well. What about the nickel plating? Does anyone know how well it lasts?
I emailed Marty about the nickel plating, and this was his response...
"The nickle is a chrome finish (circa 1940 technology) , which will basically turn blue in a week, and offers very little protection/ advantage...for $85.00"
So basically, even Marty himself is saying that it isn't worth the $85.00 !I am now going spend the extra 30 or whatever for the ceramic coating! You always can upgrade to the Xtreme metallic ceramic upgrade for another $40 like some who posted have done.
Anyways, just thought I would update that info for you guys. Time is running out for the discount!
Or you have them shipped to me and have them done in a two-stage satin black ceramic good to 1500 degrees for $70 + shipping.
