What is the function of the 175a megafuse behind the coilpack ? Is it for the Alternator?
Altenator finally died after 27 years. The Autoshop put in a new Alternator but had difficulties, so they did a bypass wire from the new Alternator straight to the pos+ terminal on the battery.
But my gut tells me they did this because they didn't check the megafuse and its possibly blown?
If I turn off the car, the Alternator in this configuration drains the battery. So I'm using a battery kill switch. Other than that the Alternator charges the battery etc.
