New CEG'er
Probably two different issues. My guess (on digging around) is:
1. Bad valve-cover gasket for the blue smoke; and,
2. Something manifold-ey for the noise.
The car's eating a quart every couple of thousand miles. I'm pretty sure I replaced the valve cover gasket due to oil in the spark-plug wells; perhaps 60 or 80 thousand miles ago.
Alternately: the blue smoke could be the "PCV" thing or valve stems. Neither of those sound ... good.
