There is an ad listed in the Seattle Craigslist.

It is listed as a 1999 Ford Contour SVT. I think someone is trying to scam an extra 3000 out of some unsuspecting person. Any other opinions?

We should all email him and tell him to call it what it is.

I emailed him, 3 hours ago, and asked if he had more pictures and if he still had the leather seats.

No responce yet.

I just emailed him and asked for the VIN or the SVT Certificate so that it could be verified as an SVT. I told him that the engine and interior did not look like an SVT.

I'll let you know if I get an answer.

PS I also flagged the listing as miscatigorized. That should get some attention.

My email bounced. Here is the message I received back:

Sorry, but the craigslist user address you recently mailed (sale-250261423@craigslist.org) does not seem to be valid. It could be you're trying to respond to a very old posting, or that the user has not requested anonymous email forwarding. Please check the address and try again.

Perhaps he is reconsidering.

guess what guys. i got an email back. here it is and he did get scammed!! and i now feel really bad. i sent him an email back saying that i was sorry for me saying he was a scammer.

email:
Nice tone, glad to see you have judged me as trying to scam people, since there is no way you could know I did not do anything to this car. I bought this from a dealer a year ago as is, with the kit, and everything else as it stands today.

If it is an SE as you claim then I was the one who was scammed, thanks for bringing this to my attention and next time check the attitude at the door.
